We used Mat to do a boiler service and then a follow up job to resolve a couple of minor issues. Mat arrived on time went straight to the Job stripped the boiler down replaced the parts needed informed us of all what he had done. He was professional and polite at all times and answered our question he also set us up for yearly maintenance. He left everything clean and tidy. He posted us the gas certificate which we had never been given before by the previous service company. He also advised us to have a carbon monoxide alarm fitted and to secure the flue in the loft better.
We are very impressed with his manner and helpfulness and look forward to seeing him for the next maintenance.

I contacted Mat about replacing an old boiler system in my mum’s property, after already speaking with several other companies and receiving some eye-watering quotes that didn’t feel right for the scope of work involved.

From the very beginning, Mat stood out. He was the only engineer who arrived and immediately showed us his Gas Safe ID card without us even needing to ask, which gave us instant confidence. He then took his time properly assessing the property, talking us through different possible approaches and explaining the pros and cons of each option in a way that was easy to understand.

What really impressed us was how upfront and transparent he was about costs. He made sure he fully understood our budget and then worked with us to shape a solution that didn’t cut corners or compromise on quality, just practical, honest adjustments to make everything fit sensibly.

He carried out a very thorough inspection of the property and highlighted any potential considerations when upgrading such an old system while keeping existing radiators and pipework in place, which was exactly what we had asked for.

We were asking a lot of questions throughout, and he answered everything clearly and patiently without ever making us feel rushed. Everything was explained properly, including options, costs, and what we could realistically expect from each route.

Such a good experinence with a 'last minute' boiler replacement. Thinking back in previous years this was always a major undertaking, but now it's a 1 day job and hardly any inconvience. Matt at the Boiler Replacement Company was very effecient with providing the initial quote and answering all the basic questions I had. Turned up just as he said and completed all works, cleared up and left the place in a good state. You can't ask for more.

I recently decided to refurb my bathroom and as my sister-in-law had hers completed a couple of weeks ago by The Boiler Replacement Company (Essex) Ltd. As and the quality of workmanship and overall finish was excellent, I determined to use the same company.
I therefore contacted Mat at the company and he duly called round to discuss the work materials etc.
Mat was very professional and knowledgeable and with his help we agreed on the design, materials and timescales.
Over the course of the four/five days it took to complete the work , Mat worked tirelessly and the end product is everything I had hoped it would be.

My wall thermostat no longer worked and as it is winter I was anxious that my flat should be warm. I phoned Matt Baker and he came round and fitted a new wall thermostat very quickly.
